A waterfall about 30–35km out from SamathaStay, framed by forest — a good half-day trip and a great spot for photos.
Birthi Falls is one of the better-known waterfalls on the road to Munsiyari, dropping through forested hillside. It makes a good stop on the way in or out of town, or a half-day trip on its own if you're staying a few nights at SamathaStay.
SamathaStay in Sarmoli is a good base for exploring Birthi Falls and the rest of the Munsiyari area.
